Portland Zine Symposium 2018
Six years in Portland and I’ve never tabled at the Portland Zine Symposium. I just never thought of myself as a good fit. Most zines (at least in in this town) are handmade by authors on the LGBT spectrum and feature some political/social content. Meanwhile I’m straight, most of my work is digital, and my stories are mostly about nonsense versus politics. But my friend Gabby Holden (who was working behind the scenes this year) managed to sneak me in on the wait-list and told me not to worry about all that stuff. For what it’s worth, I had a great time and would happily table again if they’d have me.
